If you're looking for something a bit different, then look no further than the Spanish club La Tertulia, near Porta Romana. All you have to do is join the club (membership is free) and you are welcomed into an atmosphere of Spanish and Latin themes, with a spacious garden close to Boboli, where you can take your siesta in a hammock under the afternoon sun, or enjoy a tranquil evening under candlelight. The club is also open for lunch, with a selection of tasty dishes from only 3,00 €.

In the evenings, things spice up a little more. At the Tapas bar you can try a glass of great Spanish wines, or a slice of Tortilla with Pata Negra. Within the restaurant the 10,00 € menu is recommended with a Tapeo dinner : a totally Spanish set menu with various typical Tapas dishes on offer, including Paella Valenciana, il Pulpo a la Gallega, la Fideuà de Pescado, il Chorizo, as well as a great selection of imported Spanish wines.

Members can also find out about different events, food and wine on offer, by sending an email to Helen : hlorenzana@tiscali.it

Zona 15 Wine Bar
Via del Castellaccio, 53/55r (Piazza Brunelleschi) - 50121 Firenze (FI)

The tiny mosaic tiles, grey-green hues and chrome handrails immediately reminiscent of a swimming-pool, but the water connotations stop here and begin with wine.

'Water is bad for you', quips Alessandro Galeisoltani, owner and manager of Zona 15, the codest new restaurant/bar in Florence. He prefers to recommend one of over 300 ladels of fine wines from around the world, over 70 kind of rum and big selection of whisky, to accompany the inventive modern tuscan cuisine.
Dish such as homenade pasta with red muller, capers and cherry tomatoes will take you to the right taste.

Overview:

You like to travel but you’re no tourist. No guidebooks. No sightseeing buses. No package deals. You know the best accommodations, things to do and places to eat and drink are not found in Fodor’s. The only way to find these secret spots is to ask the locals. And that’s exactly what we did. For each destination featured on the right, we’ve asked the people who live there to list their favorite restaurants, bars, inns and things to do. So when you go, you’ll be in the know.
